UPI is a real-time payment method that allows customers to pay directly from their bank accounts using their Virtual Payment Address (VPA). Payments can be made via UPI Intent (deep linking to UPI apps like Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm) or UPI Collect (sending a collect request to the customer’s VPA).
